Charles Sigourney was an officer of Phoenix Bank in Hartford, Connecticut, and a letter of his, 1825, and a speech, 1837, are part of the collection. Board of directors' records include a list of directors, 1829-1837, votes for director in 1837, and some assorted accounting pages. The collection also includes interrogatories from the Connecticut Bank Commission, with answers, 1838; statements of stock for Hartford and Norwich, 1843-1853; and a speech by bank president Henry A.
